But if you want to give something more personal and unique, you should think about making your own wind chime. It is a very easy and cheap project. - Gather some sticks made of hardwood like oak or maple. It is important to choose solid wood because it is more durable and it looks better as a décor. Make sure that the sticks have different lengths. You need to put a small hole on one end of each stick.
- The next step is finding the right notes for your chimes. If you have a piano at home, you can play the notes that you want to hear in your chimes and strike the wooden sticks to check if they already represent the tones that you have selected in the piano.
